Patti,

Thanks so much your comment and reading about my strange muscle-less affliction. Bryant and I are working through my rare disease together and so far, so good...

I don't know if I have it all together, but I certainly have a lot to figure out. I guess that's what I'm trying to do over here...and loving every minute:-)

Movable- A movable or class 2 pulley has a free axle. That is, the axle is "free" to move in space. A movable pulley is used to multiply forces. A movable pulley has a mechanical advantage of 2. That is, if one end of the rope is anchored, pulling on the other end of the rope will apply a doubled force to the object attached to the pulley.

That is to say...You are a Class 2 Axle!

Hey Sarah,

I so enjoyed reading about your running and training experiences. I've got a few stories of my own, and some days are very much harder than others. But keep the faith! It sounds as if you have it all together...Speaking of which, having the various parts of you exist peacefully is a sentiment that definitely rings a bell with me. You're an athlete, a writer, a Buddhist, and maximum comfort person. I run marathons and half marathons, train at a gym, love to cook and of late have become a doll lady. That's right, a doll lady. Ethidolls.com produces authentic, collector-quality, educational and fun African Dolls with storybooks and audio CDs based on African women rulers from history. So when I'm out running in the rain/snow/sleet etc or doing ridiculously hard core exercises to try to keep in shape, I daydream of going back to being with dolls.
