Testing, Testing, is thing on?

Hellooooo…Can anybody hear me?! Can you see me?! I’m lost in new BlogLand…HELP!

If you can see this post, please comment below! Anybody? ANYBODY?!

Ok, I will tell you about an embarrassing urge I had to fight tonight. If this blog is working you will not be able to resist commenting to help me test this sucker out. If it ain’t working…well then, no one will ever know how odd I really am, will they?

I sat next to two British women on the train tonight and they were the real bloody deal. They said “lovely” a thousand times, and I was sure Mary Poppins was definitely going to get on at the next stop. I prayed they would do something awesome like pull Turkish Delight out of their bags. They were amazing.

When one of the women asked the other which professor they had at Trinity, I couldn’t take it anymore. It was sooooo cute and British I just wanted to be a part of it! But the first “British” thing I could think of saying was, “Was your professor Harry Potter?!” Of course I would say it all crazy and over the top…

“Waaawz yo’ professuh ‘Arry Pottah?!”

I seriously wish I could tell you I didn’t think that, but I did. In fact, I had to cover my mouth to prevent myself from laughing. It would have been insane, maybe even rude. But isn’t there some tiny part of you that wishes I had done it?! Come on! If I had really nailed the delivery, those classy ladies would have loved it. We would have cracked up over tea and crumpets…all of us. I totally would have invited you guys!

So comment your faces off. Once I know this blog is officially up and running, we’re gonna give some Graham Cracker coffee away up in this Mo’ Fo’!

I wish you had done it! I know I would’ve… lol

Sadly I can mimic a little too well and am often getting myself into trouble with other peoples accents. (most recently it was a lovely Irishman I met at the park… I spent an hour trying to get him to say turd, just my luck that it was the fourth!)

You’re coming through loud and clear.

You weren’t on the train to Hogwarts, were you?

I wish you had done it so I could have read about their reactions here. But something tells me it’s probably wise that you refrained. :-) New design looks great!

Okay, yes, incredibly funny but i think those women, if they were properly British, would’ve looked at you with disdain and felt sorry for your mother.

bring on the graham cracker coffee. what the hell is it? it sounds good.

I totally would have done it. I would have gotten all blown up with overconfidence over my dialects class with Mary Charbonnet and figured that these ladies would then engage me in conversation and end up thinking I was a lovely girl who more young people should be like these days.

And your site is stunning, Sarah dahling. Proudly enjoy your spot of egg nog.

Love the look of you blog. It was worth the wait. I think it would have been hilarious if you had said it. I have a few British friends and they may seem very proper but they love a good laugh.
