Please God, PLEASE make me Dolly Parton! Just for this one number. I want to be on a variety show wearing a patriotic dress with way long sleeves! I want back-up singers who dress according to the lyrics of the song. But most of all God, I really REALLY want that Tennessee mountain accent. Like bad. I’ve been practicing! “Theees is cawwwled ‘Fawgy Moun’ain Top. Awwwl-rahht, Oh-kay.” Gughhhh, it’s so sweet, I can’t take it!

I try to be grateful for what I have and make do, God. I really do. I’ve been performing this number on my own every morning for the past week. I sing as loud as possible and tap the rhythm on my hip just like Dolly. But it’s not enough! It will never be enough! Not until I get on that set from 1969 with Buck playing that crazy guitar solo. Plus, I think my neighbors are getting pissed.

Totally reasonable request, God. Please make it so.
