Gimme some sugar

My name is Sarah, and I am a sugar addict.
“Hi Sarah”
Hi, you guys.

It’s so nice to know I’m not alone here. Because I got news for ya’, if you visit this blog on the regular you probably have a problem with sugar, too.

I start every morning with two tablespoons of sugar. Not straight up shooters, relax. I can’t do it pure like that. I have to cut it with a cup of coffee for each tablespoon.  When I made a cuppa for Andrew during his last visit he yelled, “Sarah! What is this.. cake?!”

We all know this disease is genetic. I come from a long-line of sugar addicts. I received this picture text first thing this morning from my little sister on her way to work. “I accidentally stopped at the cupcake shop again. And while I was there I ordered a giant cupcake!” The VERY first thing I saw this morning was an enormous cupcake. It’s all uphill from there for me.

You guys know what I’m talking about right? One day at a time, one day at a time. Gotta keep myself away from those sticky-sweet, 3-donut situations. But what about your so-called “friends”, a.k.a enablers, who just want to pull you back into Candyland?! Those friends on Twitter whom you thought you could lean on when you literally ran away from the pumpkin whoopie pies at Royale Bakery? They were supposed to say, “good for you! An apple would be just as satisfying.” But noooooooo. People like @littlebrownpen, @renovationthrpy, @bitterpurl and @racheljaee want to pull you right back into the Chocolate Swamp. They scream at you to go back! Make Pumpkin Whoopie! Take pictures!

I caved the next day. I ran back to that bakery and went on a whoopie pie bender. It was like a scene from “Trainspotting 2: Gimme Some Sugar!”. It was…AMAZING.

But we known setbacks are a part of the road to recovery. Like Sisyphus, I will continue to push that chocolate boulder up Gumdrop Mountain. Except someday I will make it out.

Not until after Thanksgiving, though. I am totally making pie.

MOOOOHAHAHAHA! Get back to the swamp lest I tie the chocolate boulder to your ankle! On a serious note, I am buzzing hardcore from my pie day and after eating samples of 10 pies I now want that damn pumpkin whoopie pie. If that’s not a sugar problem, I don’t know what is.

    This. Made. My. Day.

Not only can I relate to your sugar addiction, you made me laugh. Hard. Which I needed.

I want to send you a bouquet of whoopie pies on pixie sticks.

Favorite line of the day: “Sarah! What is this…cake?!”

Thanking Nichole for directing me your way. (Oh, how I DO love an enabler.)

Looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. Would it be too much to say I want to fill a tub with them and roll around in it? Cause it looks THAT good.

Oh boy, lots to address here…

Rachel, Nichole, RT, Yahaira- hahaha real FUNNY. Meanwhile, I’m still tripping from the crazy sugar creamy-ness of the PWP. You were all pushed me into Pumpkin Whoopie Pies. I hope you’re prepapred to push me into Promises, or one of those celeb rehab centers.

Amy-and I thank you for stopping by! If I must have an enabler, who better than Nichole. And Andrew is the king of one-liners. If he doesn’t start a blog soon, I don’t know what I’ll do.

Tanya-please, too much to say. Did you read that blog? Totes agree.

Bekah-I’ll bring some whoopie pies home. And doughnuts. And cookies. And monkey bread. Wait, NO monkey bread!
