Brunch it out

This is it, people!! Your last chance to enter the great Artisan Bread in 5 giveaway. For some reason I said enter by High Noon. But whatevs, I’ll give you until after work. Let’s say comments close at 7pm, shall we? Good.

In the meantime, this photo and note goes out to all of my Queens friends who are also witnessing the first signs of spring

The minute it is above 65 degrees we are going to a leisurely, filled with fat and salt, Greek Diner brunch. Somewhere along the way we lost our ability to eat massive Second Breakfasts on the weekend, completely un-showered and wearing our glasses. It is our responsibility to keep this tradition alive and I plan on using every tool in my arsenal to make this happen. That means harassing texts, Facebook messages, and voicemails with copy like “Pancakes, right now.” or “Black and White milkshake, now.”

I hate to exclude the rest of my readers, but my fellow Astorians know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! We can’t look back in regret at all of the brunches missed in the past few years because of ridiculous excuses like, “I’m on a diet.” “No money” “I cannot spend 3 hours at the diner!”

All is forgiven. Full brunch amnesty.
The spring brunch is back!

I’ll be in Astoria easter weekend. think of me as JC rising from Upstate to erase all lost brunch sins. Bacon and milkshakes for our last supper? Oy. I know it’s a horrible weekend to do brunch but I say let’s try it.

I’m all over this! I want 2 eggs over medium with a short stack! How can you even call it brunch if you don’t eat bacon?
